It’s full steam ahead on site!

The Golden Sedayu Construction team has completed the setup of site offices and we are now fully mobilised for the exciting journey ahead.

One of the major milestones this month was delivery of the piling rig last week and commencement of piling this week. The first main pile of the two towers was successfully installed today, marking a critical step in the foundation works.

The scale of the piling process is significant, with a total of 177 piles to be installed between now and October. Each pile varies in diameter – either 600mm, 900mm, or 1050mm.

Following completion of the piling, bulk excavation will commence, which will allow for concrete pours and construction of the basement to begin.

As part of Golden Sedayu’s commitment to creating a vibrant and connected community at Burswood Point, we are thrilled to have completed extensive infrastructure upgrades that will create seamless access for residents coming home to Perth’s largest urban riverfront neighbourhood.

The milestone was celebrated this week with Deputy Premier and Minister for Transport, Sport and Recreation Hon Rita Saffioti joining the Golden Sedayu Construction team and Managing Director Andrew Sugiaputra on site to celebrate the $30 million upgrades, which were jointly funded by the State Government. The significant works include a road network upgrade, a new pedestrian bridge over the Graham Farmer Freeway, and a short-span bridge that links the development with Victoria Park Drive, creating a convenient second point of entry.

Despite its already enviable proximity to abundant, natural recreational space, sports at Optus Stadium, entertainment at Crown Resort, gastronomical treats in Victoria Park, and the vibrant culture Perth City has to offer only 3.5km away, integrated cycle and walk paths will only enhance the highly desirable, easy-going lifestyle on offer at Burswood Point.

The completed works are an exciting precursor to another upcoming milestone – this month’s construction commencement of Somerset East and West. Construction of the Homes collection will follow shortly thereafter.

WA-based developer Golden Sedayu has established its own construction company to deliver luxury residences at the new multi-billion-dollar Burswood Point development.

Golden Sedayu Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of Golden Sedayu, will be led by a highly experienced, WA-based team, with a proven track record on landmark projects, including The Ritz-Carlton and the Towers at Elizabeth Quay.

Set to redefine luxury living in Perth, Burswood Point will transform a formerly unutilised part of the peninsula between the Swan River and Belmont Racecourse.

Located just 3.5km from the Perth CBD, the 38-hectare project is the largest mixed-use urban development in Perth and a major milestone in Australia’s urban landscape.

It will feature 4,500 residences, 91,000 sqm of retail and commercial spaces including a shopping outlet, five-star hotel, food and beverage venues and entertainment outlets. Burswood Point will also boast 110,000 sqm of parkland and public open spaces.

Golden Sedayu Construction will start work on Somerset East and West, the first two towers to be delivered at Burswood Point, which will offer a collection of one, two, three and four-bedroom residences.

The construction of the first two towers is expected to generate approximately 600 jobs, providing a significant boost to the local construction industry.

Golden Sedayu Managing Director Andrew Sugiaputra said launching the construction company was a strategic move to mitigate challenges currently affecting the WA building industry.

“Starting and financing our own construction company gives us more control over the construction program, quality assurance and improved coordination between in-house departments and consultants,” he said.

“This ensures greater stability in project timelines, helping us deliver on schedule and to the highest standards.”

The establishment of the new company makes Golden Sedayu one of only a few developers in Australia with in-house construction capabilities.

Somerset West is 60 per cent sold. 1-bedroom residences start from $755,000, 2 bedrooms from $1.295m and 3 bedrooms from $1.95m.

The second tower, Somerset East is set to launch in the coming months, offering another exclusive opportunity to be part of this world-class development.

Construction on Somerset East and West will commence in May this year and is anticipated to reach completion in Q4 2027.

Residents will enjoy a suite of luxurious amenities including a 20m infinity pool overlooking the river, sun decks and submerged lounges and jacuzzis. Additional facilities include residents’ dining and lounge areas, a fully equipped gymnasium, yoga studio and sauna, all crafted to enhance wellbeing and relaxation.

We are thrilled to receive approval for the next set of two towers in our landmark Burswood Point project.

The newly approved towers will house more than 200 apartments overlooking the Belmont Racecourse and will include on-site amenities such as a residents’ cinema, cocktail entertaining lounge, fitness centre, fitness studio, and kids’ breakout space.

Our dedicated team have been working tirelessly to bring this project to life, securing approvals within just four months of submission. This milestone brings us one step closer to creating a city-defining development.
