The Golden Sedayu Construction team has completed the setup of site offices and we are now fully mobilised for the exciting journey ahead.
One of the major milestones this month was delivery of the piling rig last week and commencement of piling this week. The first main pile of the two towers was successfully installed today, marking a critical step in the foundation works.
The scale of the piling process is significant, with a total of 177 piles to be installed between now and October. Each pile varies in diameter – either 600mm, 900mm, or 1050mm.
Following completion of the piling, bulk excavation will commence, which will allow for concrete pours and construction of the basement to begin.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at sales@burswoodpoint.com.au and your query will be directed to the appropriate team member.

Located just 3.5km from the Perth CBD, the 38-hectare project is the largest mixed-use urban development in Perth and a major milestone in Australia’s urban landscape.
It will feature 4,500 residences, 91,000 sqm of retail and commercial spaces including a shopping outlet, five-star hotel, food and beverage venues and entertainment outlets. Burswood Point will also boast 110,000 sqm of parkland and public open spaces.
Golden Sedayu Construction will start work on Somerset East and West, the first two towers to be delivered at Burswood Point, which will offer a collection of one, two, three and four-bedroom residences.
The construction of the first two towers is expected to generate approximately 600 jobs, providing a significant boost to the local construction industry.
Golden Sedayu Managing Director Andrew Sugiaputra said launching the construction company was a strategic move to mitigate challenges currently affecting the WA building industry.
“Starting and financing our own construction company gives us more control over the construction program, quality assurance and improved coordination between in-house departments and consultants,” he said.
“This ensures greater stability in project timelines, helping us deliver on schedule and to the highest standards.”
The establishment of the new company makes Golden Sedayu one of only a few developers in Australia with in-house construction capabilities.

Apartments in Golden Sedayu’s multi-billion-dollar redevelopment of Burswood Point are about to be made available to the public for the first time.
The apartments form part of the 17-storey Somerset West tower, which is one of two towers already approved for development within the Burswood Point precinct.
The Burswood Point redevelopment has already attracted more than $50m in apartment and house sales, and more than 1,000 enquiries prior to its opening to the general public.
With 93 apartments across the tower, Somerset West will also include luxury amenities such as an infinity pool overlooking the iconic Swan River, an observation deck and barbeque areas with views to the Belmont racecourse, a gym and café. Somerset West will also include retail opportunities, with plans for a grocery store.
Designed by DKO Architecture, Somerset West offers a range of options for potential buyers with one, two and three-apartments all available.

Golden Sedayu Managing Director Andrew Sugiaputra said he was honoured to be able to deliver Somerset West as part of the Burswood Point redevelopment.
“Burswood Point has been a work of love to the group for a long period of time and it is an important part of Western Australia’s future,” Mr Sugiaputra said.
“We are honoured and privileged that we are able to announce Somerset, bringing an amazing dream to reality. The incredible rate of sales shows that the Perth property market is well and truly heating up, and that buyers are feeling more confident than ever.”
“The Town of Victoria Park, through its officers and design review panel has been a huge support and assisted us immensely through the approval process.”
DKO architect Dennis Chew said Somerset West would be more than a building and would instead become a defining Perth landmark.
“It’s about sculpting spaces that breathe life into the peninsula, contributing not just buildings, but a legacy that seamlessly integrates with the natural landscape,” Mr Chew said.
“The architectural concept behind the towers was to create a striking feature that would anchor the peninsula and with a sculptural form to serve as a defining landmark that is visible from the river’s edge.”
Burswood Point Sales Director David Dragun said there had already been substantial interest in Somerset West, which has only been open for VIP sales until now.
“Somerset West has had enormous interest due to its strategic location, expansive views of Perth City, the racecourse, and Swan River,” Mr Dragun said.
“It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own something so unique in Western Australia and be part of a project that will transform the Perth landscape.”
Somerset West is due to be completed in early 2027, with early works due to begin by August this year.
Interested buyers will also be able to take a first glimpse at what Burswood Point has to offer, with the sales office now open.
