Burswood Point hosts guests from The Urban Developer’s Perth Symposium
It was a privilege for the Golden Sedayu team to be invited to participate in The Urban Developer’s inaugural Perth Symposium on March 11 and 12.
The event brought together 150+ senior property professionals, including private and institutional developers, investors, financiers, consultants and government stakeholders. The program explored investment conditions, supply and demand dynamics, planning and infrastructure, and where the next wave of opportunity sits across Greater Perth.
On Day 1, our Managing Director Andrew Sugiaputra and Development Director Andrew Bouhlas welcomed guests to Burswood Point for two exclusive site tours of our display suite and broader precinct. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the 38ha masterplanned community, see the 2.5km stretch of Swan River foreshore – a waterfront that has not been publicly accessible for more than 80 years, and view construction progress firsthand at Somerset East and West, along with the River and Garden Homes.
On Day 2, Andrew S joined the panel discussion Investing in the Future of Perth, sharing insights into why long-term investment in well-planned precincts continues to be critical to Perth’s growth.

As construction progresses on the boutique riverfront residences at Burswood Point, we are pleased to announce that the site will also be home to Australia’s first luxury Anantara Hotel.
The celebrated Thai-inspired wellness hotel will anchor our 38 hectare masterplanned project and form a key part of the long-term vision for the precinct.

Golden Sedayu Construction has maintained strong momentum over the festive period, with the successful installation of the tower crane for Somerset East. The erection of the crane marks a key milestone for Burswood Point, signalling the vertical commencement of the first building within the broader 38-hectare masterplanned community. At Somerset East, the basement slab is currently undergoing waterproofing and preparation works in readiness for the next stage of structural pours, while excavation works continue at Somerset West down to the required basement pad level.
Once the second tower crane is erected next month, basement slab works will continue through to Somerset West, enabling construction to progress concurrently across both buildings.

Somerset Residences
We are pleased to report that the piling for Somerset is now 100% complete and that the piling contractor has now demobilised from site. This is a major milestone for the project as Golden Sedayu moves forward with progress on the individual towers.
At Somerset East, excavation of the building footprint is now complete. The team is making great progress preparing the pile caps that will support the main structure above, while works continue on the tower crane foundations ahead of its February installation. Once the crane is in place, vertical construction of the East Tower will begin.
At Somerset West, excavation works will continue into the new year.
Garden Homes
With slabs in place and brickwork started, the full scale and layout of the homes are now coming to life.
In the new year, the CU Building team will lodge the Building Permit applications for Stage 2 (Garden Home 7 to Garden Home 12) ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted progression of the broader Garden Homes construction program.
River Homes
We are pleased to confirm that Urbane will lodge the Building Permit applications for the first four River Homes (RH01,08, 09 and 10) this side of Christmas, which will align with the commencement of initial site establishment works, which includes: setting up fencing, signage, surveying and preparing the area for construction commencement.
The Urbane team will return to site to prepare for ground slab pouring by the end of January, at which time they will lodge the next four Building Permit applications (RH16, 17, 24 and 25).

Golden Sedayu Managing Director, Andrew Sugiaputra, recently joined Landscape Architect Ryan Lucy, Associate at Hassell, for an engaging discussion on the landscape vision taking shape at Burswood Point.
Hassell is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading landscape architecture practices, best known in Western Australia for its work on Optus Stadium Park and Chevron Parklands; the firm now brings its expertise to the extensive foreshore works and recreational precincts at Burswood Point.
During the event, Andrew shared a construction update on the foreshore works and upcoming project milestones, while Ryan revealed how the landscape vision was inspired by a desire to foster a deep connection between residents and the natural beauty of Perth’s newest riverfront neighbourhood.
