Located just 3.5km from the Perth CBD, the 38-hectare project is the largest mixed-used urban development in Perth and a major milestone in Australia’s urban landscape. It will feature 4,500 residences, 91,000 sqm of retail and commercial spaces including a shopping outlet, five-star hotel, food and beverage venues and entertainment outlets. Burswood Point will also boost 110,000 sqm of parkland and public open spaces.
Golden Sedayu Managing Director Andrew Sugiaputra said launching the construction company was a strategic move to mitigate challenges currently affecting the WA building industry. “Starting and financing our own construction company gives us more control over the construction program, quality assurance and improved coordination between in-house departments and consultants,” he said. “This ensures greater stability in project timelines, helping us deliver on schedule and to the highest standards.” The establishment of the new company makes Golden Sedayu one of only a few developers in Australia with in-house construction capabilities.
Golden Sedayu Construction will start work on Somerset East and West, the first two towers to be delivered at Burswood Point, which will offer a collection of one, two, three and four-bedroom residences. The construction of the first two towers is expected to generate approximately 600 jobs, providing a significant boost to the local construction industry.
Construction on Somerset East and West will commence in May this year and is anticipated to reach completion in Q4 2027. Residents will enjoy a suite of luxurious amenities including a 20m infinity pool overlooking the river, sun decks and submerged lounges and jacuzzis. Additional facilities include residents’ dining and lounge areas, a fully equipped gymnasium, yoga studio and sauna, all crafted to enhance wellbeing and relaxation.
